USVAP May 7th 2010 Silent Auction

These Conditions of Sale contain all the terms on which USVAP contract with the Buyer. These conditions may be amended by posted notices or announcements made prior to close of auction. By bidding at the auction, buyers agree to be bound by these terms.
Silent Auction Off-Site Bidder Procedure
Prospective bidders must , make a bid by 12:00 Noon central time on May 7th 2010. A $1.00 charge will be processed to pre-qualify bidder’s credit card. The highest maximum bid of all online bids received by the deadline will be the opening bid for the silent auction at the Hard Rock Cafe on May 7th 2010. Winners will be notified by e-mail by close of business on Monday, May 11th, 2010 with a statement of charges.
If winning bid is online we will send you email instructions for payment via credit card utilizing this site.
Terms of Sale
Purchases will be made in cash, certified check or credit card payable to USVAP. Off-site buyers shall collect purchased items within ten (10) calendar days from the date of sale unless otherwise agreed in writing between USVAP and the Buyer, in advance. Buyer is responsible for picking up their merchandise and for all packing, shipping, handling and insurance charges. USVAP shall use all reasonable efforts to assist buyers in handling, packing and shipping purchased items, however,USVAP will not be responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties retained by buyers for these purposes.
USVAP will make all reasonable effort to insure the correctness with regards to description of auction items. However, neither USVAP, nor any of our officers, employees or agents, shall be held responsible for the accuracy of any statement of any kind concerning any donated item, whether written or oral, nor for any other errors or omissions in description or for any faults or defects in any item. Neither USVAP , our officers, employees or agents, give any representation, warranty or guarantee or assume any liability of any kind in respect to any item with regard to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, description, size, quality, condition, attribution, authenticity, rarity, importance, medium, providence, exhibition history, literature historical relevance.
All sales are final and proceeds of the sale of the property will be transferred to the United States Vietnam Arts Program, a registered 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization in the State of Illinois.
